East Design & Graphic Expo (EDGE) 2008

Next week, June 18 to 21, is the East Design & Graphic Expo at Gramedia Expo Jl. Basuki Rachmat, Surabaya, sponsored by Concept Magz, FDGI, Kodak etc. There will be plenty of design & creative industries showcased here, including printing, publishing, packaging, and yes, comics and illustrations. Seems like there’s an entrance fee, but I have three invitations I’m not using ATM ;). Comic communities and studios in attendance include MKI, M Productions, 7 Blue Artland, Sequen, Jagoan Comics, Curhat Anak Bangsa, Wind Rider, Neo Paradigm, Outline.

Great event, friendly and enthusiastic crowd. I might write more about it at sevenartland.com/blog, but not anytime soon. The recent sharp influx of events with tight deadlines have been rather dizzying: there’s Komik Asia at House of Sampoerna tomorrow 6pm too, featuring Benny & Mice. Wind Rider and I will be there, say hi if you’re around.
